Cosmetic surgery is becoming so popular in Ireland that the industry is reported to be worth €25 million per year. Breast augmentation and reduction, liposuction and facelifts are among the most popular surgical treatments. The number of cosmetic surgery providers in Dublin has grown steadily since the mid-1990s, and most of them are now also moving into non-surgical alternatives like Botox, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and laser therapy. Most beauty salons now offer most of these treatments, and some have visiting nurses who administer Botox injections.
