Physiotherapy

Most physiotherapists in Ireland have private practices. If you need physiotherapy as a public patient, you will need a referral from your GP and treatment will usually be as a hospital outpatient. Some of your physiotherapy fees should be covered by your health insurance, but check with your company in advance. You are entitled to claim tax relief on physiotherapy expenses over and above a certain amount. You can get the relevant claim forms from your local tax office.
