There are dozens of public hospitals scattered about the city. Technically, expats are supposed to use the VIP wards, but if you decide to brave the waiting times and confusing signage it’s unlikely anyone will complain. Unless your Chinese is good, it is best to take a local if you seek help at a public hospital.
