Aerobics is excellent for improving circulation, burning fat, reducing cellulite and feeling healthy. Aqua aerobics, is often wrongly assumed to be less of a workout when in fact, the combination of water resistance and muscle-toning exercises work muscles just as hard. Most gyms offer a wide range of aerobics classes that can range from Spin classes to glutis, abdominals i cames (bums, legs and tums). You will need to be a member of a gym, health club or swimming pool, as there is no informal ‘pay as you go’ system. Spin classes are hugely popular, so make sure you book your spot in advance. DiR, Holmes Place, BonaSport and Club Feminí Iradier all offer an impressive selection of aerobic and aqua aerobic classes that include aquafit, aquapower, aquarelax, aqua-tó (aqua toning) and aquaerobic. The same goes for the reasonably-priced municipal gyms, such as Can Ricart in the Raval .
