Bowling
In Spain, while bowling is popular, it has not taken on the same proportions as in the USA. In Barcelona, though, it is an increasingly popular pastime. Bowling Pedralbes (www.bowlingpedralbes.com, 93 333 03 52) is the biggest indoor bowling centre in the city, open from 10:00 to 02:00. Many of the city’s shopping centres have bowling alleys as well; the most modern of these is located in La Maquinista shopping mall (www.lamaquinista.com, 93 504 21 00) where UV bowling balls are a quirky novelty. If you bowl professionally, contact the Club Bowling Barcelona (93 204 58 01) for information on membership and club nights.
