Drama Groups
Barcelona is thriving with drama groups. Finding English speaking ones though, is not so easy. Most of those that do exist are listed below. However, if you feel your Spanish or Catalan is up to the challenge, don’t hesitate to sign yourself up to one of the many theatre courses offered in local community centres. While lessons in monologue performance may be a bit ambitious, Barceloneta (www.civicbarceloneta.com), Drassanes (www.ccdrassanes.tk) and Fort Pienc (www.fortpienc.org) community centres run theatrical improvisation classes. Courses cost between €50 and €70 per trimester, which covers one weekly class for a period of roughly three months. If you want to study official postgraduate or degree courses in theatre studies, consult www.aprendemas.com.
