Handball is a popular sport in Spain, and is played both indoors and on the beach. Catalonia has two of its teams in the top ten of the national handball league, ASOBAL. F.C. Club Balonmano Granollers, one of the oldest handball clubs in the country, has several teams of all levels and ages and is more accessible for club-standard players. The best way to get involved in the handball scene, is to place an ad on the borsa jugadores (players’ draw) on the Catalan Handball Federation website (www.fchandbol.com). Also contact the teams and clubs directly to find out whether they are still looking for players, as sometimes they forget to remove their ad from the borsa.
