Bowling
There are a large number of bowling alleys in Berlin, mostly in the former East. Despite their location, many of them have an American feel, with all-you-can-eat buffets paying homage to their country of origin. Bowling is called either Bowlingbahnen or Kegelsport. The national bowling league, Bowling Bundesliga, was formed in 1970 and is now controlled by the Deutsche Bowling Union (www.dbu-bowling.com). Those needing equipment should check out one of Bowling Shop Berlin’s six locations, which include a pro shop for those who know the difference between a strike and a spare
