Despite being flat as the proverbial pancake, Berlin is home to a large number of climbers. With the closest decent outdoor climbing arguably around Dresden, man-made walls are the next best thing, and Berlin has been churning out climbing centres in the last few years. It may be wise to haunt the climbing wall and see if you can join an informal club, many of which make trips together.
