Many of the capital’s museums contain ancient pottery, excavated from sites around the city. A museum devoted specifically to ceramics opened in 2004, and there are a number of classes and ‘made by me’ style pottery houses around the city. Keramik Werkstätte (ceramic workshops) are concentrated in Prenzlauer Berg and usually contain gallery displays as well as stores.
